Vouchers (value vouchers and promotional vouchers)

1. Definitions

(a) Value vouchers are vouchers purchased by paying a sum of money and represent a corresponding credit balance.

(b) Promotional vouchers are vouchers issued free of charge (e.g. as part of promotions) with specific redemption conditions.

2. Issuing store / contracting party

If the voucher was purchased in a store, only the respective issuing store (store operator) is the contracting party under the voucher relationship.

3. Value vouchers can only be redeemed in the issuing store

Value vouchers can only be redeemed in the store where they were purchased. Redemption in other stores or with other operators is excluded.

4. Promotional vouchers only in participating stores

(a) Promotional vouchers can be redeemed only in the respective participating stores.

(b) Which stores are participating in a promotion is listed separately on the website under “Stores” (subpage).

(c) Unless otherwise stated on the promotional voucher or in the promotion terms, redemption outside the participating stores is excluded.

5. Redemption via the website / online orders

Unless expressly stated otherwise, vouchers cannot be redeemed via the website or as part of online orders, but only on site in accordance with the provisions above.

6. Payout / interest / partial redemption

(a) Cash payment of the voucher value (in full or in part) is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

(b) Vouchers do not accrue interest.

(c) Partial redemption is possible; any remaining balance can be used until the voucher expires.

7. Validity

(a) Value vouchers are valid until the end of the third calendar year after the purchase date, unless mandatory statutory provisions provide for a longer period.

(b) Promotional vouchers may have a shorter validity period; this is stated on the voucher and/or as part of the promotion.

8. Loss / misuse

No replacement will be provided in the event of loss, theft, or unauthorized use of the voucher. The voucher must be kept like cash.

9. Transferability

Unless stated otherwise, vouchers are transferable. However, redemption remains limited in all cases in accordance with the provisions above (value vouchers: issuing store; promotional vouchers: participating stores).
